My brother Karl recently turned me on to ZAPP & ROGER. Ohioan electrofunk talk box-ing (mostly) brothers who greatly influenced West Coast rap (two of whom met an untimely and tragic demise—look it up).
This music feels so good to me during this season of affective disorders that I’m, like, jumping out of my old skin and growing brand new neon-cool skin. Figuratively speaking. Psyched out of my mind (also, figuratively)!!
